NFT, Non-Fungible Token, got much attention in 2021. But what are they and are they really the future or just a temporary hype? What is the difference with other crypto assets, and perhaps most importantly: what are the potential market opportunities and related risks for banks to offer services to help clients in managing their crypto assets and NFTs?? 

Our special guest for this session is an authority in everything related to Blockchain: Laurent Marochini, Head of Innovation at Societe Generale Securities Services in Luxembourg. Since 2018, Laurent is also Head of the Innovation Lab #LePlateauLux and Blockchain Leader for the Group.

Prior to joining SGSS, Laurent has held various management positions in the banking sector in particular in BNP Paribas Securities Services and Credit Suisse Private Banking. He joined Societe Generale in 2006 as a Risk Manager.

Laurent is highly involved in the Fintech ecosystem. He is also Co-Chairman of the ALFI Working Group Blockchain & Crypto Currencies and Member of the Fintech & Digital Executive Committee.
