The future of DeFi in Switzerland

This event is co-organized by CV Labs and Switzerland Global Enterprise/Swiss Business Hub USA.

Over the past couple of years, Switzerland has become a leading hub for blockchain companies. Over 850 blockchain companies call Switzerland their home today. This year, Switzerland will be among the first countries in the world to introduce new, modern legislation applying to blockchain and DLT. 

Unlike many other countries that attempt to draft DLT legislation from scratch, Swiss legislators are making strategic adaptions to existing rules that take into account the rapid development of the blockchain/crypto asset space. These amendments not only increase the legal certainty for investors, they also remove barriers for DLT-based applications and reduce the risk of abuse.

Thus, now is the perfect time to bring the Swiss and Bay Area blockchain ecosystems closer together. This event aims to provide an American audience consisting of innovative young blockchain startups as well as more established protocols and a wider entrepreneurial and investor audience interested in the subject, with some valuable insights on what is happening in the so-called Crypto Valley, and how blockchain companies are navigating and flourishing in Switzerland’s blockchain friendly environment.

We are going to explore developments in DeFi, e.g. decentralized exchanges or lending platforms on both sides of the Atlantic, and will take a closer look at how Switzerland provides ideal conditions for companies that incorporate DeFi aspects in their business model. Join us to hear first-hand accounts from some of the key companies in Switzerland’s DeFi space.
