STOKR, the EU’s pioneering digital marketplace for alternative assets, announced the launch of Italian car manufacturer Mazzanti’s security token offering (STO) on its investment platform, making Mazzanti the first supercar brand to pursue a raise in the form of digital securities.
The offering for select European countries is capped at €999,999, the proceeds of which Mazzanti will use towards the development of a special edition of its coveted hypercar Evantra Millecavalli R.
Mazzanti’s public investment round will be facilitated by STOKR, which provides turn-key solutions for ventures to launch EU-compliant STOs and enables professional and retail investors alike to directly engage with and fund projects via its interactive platform.
Investors on STOKR are able to purchase “MZZ,” the token issued by Mazzanti, at €1 each, starting from a minimum investment of €50. MZZ entitles investors to a 50% revenue share in the sale of the special edition Evantra Millecavalli R. The token is issued via Blockstream AMP, a platform for the tokenization of securities built on the Liquid sidechain of Bitcoin, which has been directly integrated with STOKR.
“By choosing to raise funds via a security token offering, Mazzanti makes its brand more accessible to supercar collectors and enthusiasts than most luxury car manufacturers,” said Arnab Naskar, co-founder of STOKR. “We are excited to work with Mazzanti and empower both private and professional investors to actively take part in the firm’s growth by acquiring a share in its future revenue via our innovative fundraising vehicle.”
With more than 20 years of successful operations under its belt, Mazzanti is renowned for its unique “one-off” luxury cars, which are tailor-made and sold to collectors around the world. Its Millecavalli series of high-quality hand-crafted race cars has been widely acclaimed across the automobile industry.
“I am proud to be taking the growth of Mazzanti Automobili one step further and directly involving many passionate enthusiasts in the production of our hypercar,” Mazzanti’s founder Luca Mazzanti commented on the launch. “In our continuous pursuit of excellence and innovation, we immediately recognized the potential of security tokens for our goal of inclusion and expansion.”
From February 25th onwards, Mazzanti will further allow customers to purchase all editions of the iconic Evantra model with Bitcoin.
